Unique Meeting and Event Venues: Wineries

Virginia is home to more than 230 wineries and vineyards, nearly two dozen wine trails, and rates fifth in the nation for wine grape production. Many wineries have fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces perfect for a meeting or event. Below is just a sampling of Virginia wineries across the state with indoor meeting space for 50 or more people.

 

— Blue Ridge Highlands —

Chateau Morrisette in Floyd offers breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, award-winning wines and both indoor and outdoor meeting and event space including an outdoor amphitheater-style area for larger groups requiring a stage.

 

— Central Virginia —

Trump Winery

Situated on 1,300 acres of spectacular scenery, Trump Winery in Charlottesville is Virginia’s largest vineyard and is located along the Monticello Wine Trail. Outdoors, an unparalleled view of rolling hills, mature trees, lush vines and large lakes create the perfect backdrop for any event.

Also located on the Monticello Wine Trail and just outside of Charlottesville, Keswick Vineyards offers a variety of settings to host your event. Keswick’s wine cellar can accommodate groups of up to 50. If you would prefer to meet outdoors, the Special Events Area at the the historic 400-acre Edgewood Estate can accommodate up to 200.

 

— Chesapeake Bay —

Located in Warsaw, the 4,000 square foot Great Hall at Belle Mount Vineyards has an imposing hearth and fireplace overlooking gently sloping vineyards and serene Cat Point Creek and can accommodate up to 300 people. Guests at Belle Mount can also take a hike on miles of hiking trails, canoe the creek or relax in the shade of their old oak trees.

 

— Coastal Virginia —

Gently nestled in 300 acres of vineyards and pine forests, Williamsburg Winery and Wedmore Place , a European-style country inn, have over 1,000 square feet of meeting space split into two adjoining conference rooms decorated in the fashion of medieval castles. The windows overlook the woods and the main conference room features a wood burning fire place.

 

— Northern Virginia —

Morais Vineyards and Winery in Bealeton offers great scenery and memorable experiences in a rustic venue with Mediterranean feel. They have a 4,000 square foot Grand Ballroom that can accommodate more than 300 guests as well as a 1,250 square foot Tasting Room with a beautiful view to the vineyard.

Located in Prince William, The Winery at La Grange is settled on 22 acres of rolling foothills and is home to eight acres of vines and a haunted tasting room housed in the 18th century Manor House. Your group can see their winemakers in action, learn the history of the house or hear one of many ghost stories along with tours of the wine-making process.

Whether your company just needs a unique change of scenery or is interested in a new twist to the concept of team building, Potomac Point Winery in Stafford has you covered. Enjoy the ambiance of the Barrel Room or Coyote Wine Cave for 30-50 guests or use our Richland Ballroom overlooking the hills of vines for up to 250 people.

 

— Shenandoah Valley —

At Veramar Vineyard in Berryville, groups of 15 to 500 can escape from the city to the quiet elegance and beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sip award-winning wines and listen to music on their Fountain Courtyard after a day of meetings.

 

— Southern Virginia —

Located in La Crosse, Rosemont Vineyards and Winery’s unique four level, gravity-flow winery utilizes state-of-the-art technology within an early-American designed building. Enjoy heart-pine floors and beams, Williamsburg fireplace, beautiful barrel room, airy porches and picturesque views. The winery can accommodate up to 120 seated guests.
